Borolia Irrigation Scheme was started in the year 1983 to supply water to the farmers in Tamulpur district in BATD, with an aim to uplift the economy of the local tribal people by increasing the agricultural product. The project is physically 70 % completed and now it is partially operative and has created a potential of more than 3000 Ha at present. On completion the project will be able to irrigate 13562 Ha of land annually.
